Hard to believe,but it's been a week since I moved my stuff from the house I was renting to the house I bought. I'm in the process of settling in - it's slow, you never realize how much stuff you have until you've packed it and then you have to unpack it and put it someplace. The set up of my new house is different...and I want to get rid of some of the clutter I have (old financial papers and the like). I bought a new shredder which arrived today and I am looking forward to shredding (and shedding) a lot of my unneeded papers. I am very grateful for the fact that I moved over summer vacation so I have plenty of time to unpack (like I had plenty of time to pack) and run all the millions of errands that a new house seems to take. It's different not having a landlord or property management place to call!
I'm very happy with my new home though. It's so light and airy. The furnace is so quiet. The backyard access is so much easier to let Bob in and out. And the countertops are standard height in the kitchen! Not to mention a lovely tub/shower combo that will never get mildewy or moldy grout!
