as in, friends that are not new, not friends that are old.
I had the wonderful opportunity to see my friend Lissa yesterday. We figured out that it had been at least eleven years since we'd last seen each other - and possibly as long as thirteen years. She'd been an awesome friend to me when I was at Chico State for three semesters,and we stayed in touch for several years - reconnecting recently thanks to Facebook. And, I got to spend five awesome hours with her yesterday.
It's always nice to find that the years out of contact melt away when you're once again face to face with a good friend. It made me so happy to talk and laugh with her. We have plans to get together again soon - and even to talk on the phone now that we have each others' number. It was a great way to spend a lovely summer day.
