Happy 1/1/11

In honor of the end of 2010, here are 10 highlights from my year.

1. In January, I 'discovered' I was one inch taller than I thought I was. Yes, I'm 5'4"!
   
2. In April, I participated in the Boise MS Walk for the third year in a row. (And I plan on participating again this year.)
3. In May, I was elected Secretary of the Caldwell Education Association
4. In June, I bought my first house!!
5. In July, I traveled to Green Bay, Wisconsin for a mini-reunion with my parents, my grandmother, my sister, my brother-in-law, and my niece.
6. In August, I started teaching fourth grade after enjoying five years teaching third grade.
7. In September, I started a new hobby of gardening.  I planted 18 perennials.  I'm very excited to see how they grow in the Spring!
   
8. In October, I celebrated the 10th anniversary of my move to Idaho from the San Francisco Bay Area!
9. In December I watched the lunar eclipse on the winter solstice.
10. I also have discovered the joy of Skyping with faraway family and friends. Skyping with my niece is a special joy.
