Some observations (in no particular order):
- Drinking six glasses of water a day is hard, yo. (I feel like that should be a Kanye West tweet.) Apparently, in a former life, I was a cactus, because I never realized how much water I don't drink until I had to drink six glasses a day as part of the Best Life Diet goals. After a concerted effort for the past week, I'm happy to report I'm at least getting 5 glasses of water down a day. Of course, I live for the canned applause I receive from the app on my phone if I reach my actual goal.
- Being active makes it easier to be active. I have more stamina and energy so I want to do more. I actually get off my couch to work out because I know it won't feel horrible if I do it. Of course, in case you didn't know, until I was in my early 20s, I was very active, so this isn't something I've never experienced before. I walked a lot, I was thin, I never thought about physical endurance or strength if I wanted to do something, I could just do it. It's awesome to think that feeling might come back!
- The last month of school, as predicted, was very tough in terms of meeting my goals, especially for my activity goals. I'm not as in shape as I would like to be for my first 5k on June 18th, but I will at least be able to run a portion of it, even if I can't run the whole thing like I was hoping to. It was an ambitious goal but I'm still determined to do my best.
- Soda is the devil. I know it's empty calories. But it's just so good!!
